  • Birth*: Benjamin was born before 1756.1
  • Census*: Benjamin appeared on the census of 1790 at Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut, as 1 male age 16 and over, 1 male under 16, and 3 females. Therefore the head of household, presumably Benjamin, was born before 1774.2
  • Tax List*: Benjamin appeared on the tax list of Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut, 1795, with only three entries: Horse kind 2 years old (and this entry is lighter than those around it, it is possible that it was erased), 15 Acres Clear Pasture, 15 acres Bush Pasture or Brush pasture? but it looks clearly like Bush), for a tax of 7 Pounds, 10 shillings. This is one of the lower tax listings.3
  • Census: Benjamin appeared on the census of 1800 at Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut, as 1 male aged 16-25, 1 male 45 or older, 1 female aged 10-15, and 1 female aged 26-44. Therefore the head of household was born before 1756.1
