Ginger is such a sweetheart with these
puppies, and very helpful, because she helps
tire them out, and they tire her out,
because she is basically still a puppy
herself.
Truffle plays but I suspect even in play she
is bringing up her babies. She will
take a toy, and lie down with it, and flop
it around so that some sucker puppy comes
over and grabs it, and then she will growl
at them and make them leave it. Then
she will shake it again, just to see if they
will be a sucker twice, and she keeps on
until they decide not to take the toy.
She seems to be teaching them to be
polite. Great lesson, and she teaches
it with more gusto than we do, and with
better results.
My first reaction is that she is rough on
them, but it's just normal puppy raising,
I'm sure.
